Yes, NIOS has entered into an MoU with CSC e-Governance India Ltd., Ministry of Information and Technology, Government of India. All the Common Services Centres throughout the country act as Facilitation Centres of NIOS where any prospective learner can avail various online facilities of NIOS at the prescribed rates. These rates are given at pages 15 to 16 of the Handbook. A list of the CSCs is at Appendix-.
The amount as per these rates is to be paid by the learner and will be in addition to the registration fee of NIOS.
No. In order to take admission in the Senior Secondary course, the learner must have passed the Secondary course from a recognised Board.
A learner who has passed class VIII and has valid proof of attaining 14 years of age can apply for registration to the Secondary Course. The learner who gives a self certificate stating that "I have studied and able to pursue the secondary course" is also eligible for admission to the Secondary Course. The learnerwho had studied at the Secondary level can also seek admission in NIOS either to complete his course or to improve his performance. Residential proof of the learner.
A learner can choose subjects of his/her choice from the list provided at NIOS website and prospectus keeping in view the passing criteria and Certification criteria, as also the requirement of other Boards/University for further education.
NIOS offers the following programmes /courses:-
Open Basic Education (OBE) Programme, which includes following three levels courses.
(i) OBE ‘A’ Level Course -Equivalent to class III
(ii) OBE ‘B’ Level Course -Equivalent to class V
(iii) OBE ‘C’ Level Course -Equivalent to class VIII
a) Academic Courses
(i) Secondary Course-Equivalent to class X
(ii) Senior Secondary Course-Equivalent to class XII
b) Vocational Education Courses
c) Life Enrichment Programmes
Open and Distance learning (ODL) is an innovative approach of providing opportunity of learning through Self Learning Material (SLM) and certain other strategies in a flexible manner at the pace of learners. In this mode, the learner is also provided academic support in the form of PCP and TMA in addition to SLM
NIOS has introduced 100% Online admission at the Secondary and the Senior Secondary level in order to facilitate learners to register.
Under this scheme, the learner have three options:
(i) He/She can register on-line directly by visiting the website of NIOS i.e., www.nios.ac.in
(ii) He/She may visit his/her nearest AI (Study Centre)/Facilitation Centre and take help for on-line registration.
(iii) He/She may visit the concerned Regional Centre of NIOS and take help for on line registration.
(iv) He/She can use the services of the Common Services Centres of the Govt. of India for Online registration throughout the Country.
Yes, the students of Bihar Board of Open Schooling and Examination after clear 12th also take CLAT exam. As per the criteria of the CLAT exam, candidates should have passed Higher Secondary School/Intermediate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST/OBC and persons with Disability).
BBOSE is a recognized board in India. Candidate passed class 12th from a recognized board are eligible to appear in any entrance examination.
The Bihar Board of Open Schooling and Examination is an autonomous organization of Bihar Education Department. It is a registered government society established under societies act.
Yes, BBOSE certificates are acceptable by every private and government organization. You can apply for any govt. jobs.
For Class 10 (Secondary), the minimum age is 14 years. For Class 12 (Senior Secondary), you must have passed Class 10 or equivalent. There's no upper age limit. We also accept transfer students from other boards.
Yes, IIT and other private and government institute accept the BBOSE passing certificate. With BBOSE certificate, you can take admission in any private or government institute.
